Chorus-Effekte vervielfachen das Originalsignal, die Kopien werden dabei jeweils in Tonhöhe und Zeit leicht versetzt. So wird der Eindruck vermittelt, als ob viele Instrumente gleichzeitig spielen und der Sound wirkt voller. Einer der bekanntesten Chorus-Sounds ist die Leadgitarre in Nirvana´s "Come as you are".
