Overdrive

While on first glance this pedal looks like a straightforward overdrive/preamp, it has some surprises. Whether on its own or stacked with other drives, the Aaron Graves Overdrive brings both clarity and heft to the proceedings. And if it can get a bit gnarlier than people expected, we were reminded that Aaron learned guitar from learning Misfits songs.

The Electronic Audio Experiments Halberd is a discrete transistor overdrive circuit designed for the greatest possible dynamic range and note clarity. It fills a special niche our family of drive pedals—a medium-gain device with the harmonic fullness and grind of a much higher-gain pedal, one that stands apart from both the brazen buzz of op amp distortion and the smooth breakup of JFET amp emulations alike.

The sound of a blown amp in pedal form. Oh my dear.....

One of the biggest-sounding, richest, fruitiest, most syrupy, decadently harmonic drive and fuzz pedal

Colortone Parasite is a versatile JFET based harmonically rich ‘Full Spectrum’ Overdrive guitar pedal with Treble Boost features and active tone controls.

Shape how gain behaves, not just how much of it there is. The Empress Drive is an analog overdrive that puts you in control of your drive sound. Pre-overdrive mid shaping changes how the circuit saturates, while flexible boost routing, clean mix, post-EQ, and an adaptive noise gate deliver a powerful all-in-one gain platform.

Built for players who demand the best, the Ethane Dual Overdrive fuses two of Browne Amplification’s most revered circuits—the Carbon V2 (Bluesbreaker) and the Gritador (Tube Screamer) —into one expertly crafted pedal
