Chorus

Swirls consists of three effects; a Tri-Stereo Chorus emulation, a micro pitch-shifter effect and an aggressive, VCA-style compressor.

The “Valkyrie” Chorus pedal is our take on those 80’s flangers we all had but sadly sold at some point. Using similar delay line technology from that era, the Valkyrie pedal also has a wider range of control and depth to be able to do more than “just that chorus sound”.

Mirror House creates two pitch-shifted copies of an incoming signal which veer off into equal and opposite directions. This diametric approach to pitch shifting is capable of weird detuning, disorienting microtonal clusters, chords of parallel harmony, or ugly, strange dissonance. (It can also be a chorus.)

The rotary effect was one of the earliest modulation effects to hit the music scene. Originally designed for Hammond* organs, the Leslie* was a rotating speaker that created the recognizable Doppler effect (think church organ). You’ve heard rotary effects on everything from It’s Only Love by the Beatles to Cold Shot by Stevie Ray Vaughan and from City Love by John Mayer to Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden.
