In 2016, Josh had the idea to develop a circuit that covered the best high-gain distortion tones of the ’90s and 2000s, a sound that embodied the post-grunge alternative rock movement.

Modern vintage would be the best way to describe this pickup. It has a warm, lightly compressed attack thanks to the alnico 5 magnet, but we wound it hotter than vintage for a thick, round sound and excellent sustain.

The overdrive+ is an original circuit with a whole range of both familiar and unique tones - from low gain always-on tonal enhancer to ripping high gain lead machine. With a combination of JFETs, op-amps and a few diodes inside it really covers a lot of ground.
