Fuzz
Im Vergleich zu Overdrive-/Distortion-Pedalen sind Fuzzpedale normalerweise nicht dazu gedacht, einen (stark) verzerrten Amp zu simulieren. Vielmehr ist der Sound unverwechselbar wuchtig und reicht je nach Modell von "brutal und hell" bis hin zu "dick und zähfließend." Manche Modelle fügen dem Signal zusätzlich eine (Up)Octave hinzu. Typische Fuzz-Sounds sind "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" von den Rolling Stones oder alles von Dinosaur Jr.
